Duplicate hybrids

by AndyAmphlett » Fri Mar 28, 2014 9:18 am

Hi,

I don't, as a rule, worry about duplicate records, and this is not an especially urgent issue, but the multiple datasets of records of hybrids (no doubt collated for the new hybrids book), have introduced a huge amount of duplication. I think the most I have found is 6 duplicates in addition to the original record. Are there plans to rationalise all these records into a single hybrids dataset, and 'hide' the others as duplicates?

Andy.

Hi Andy,

I hope that it will be possible to rationalize some of the data-set scale duplication, but that will be easier to do after the final merge of the Vascular Plant Database (brc database) has happened, (so that, unambiguously, the DDb can be treated as the top-copy of those records).

regards,

Tom
