Tom,

A very similar issue to my post re. Koeleria macrantha - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=488 - applies to records of Rosa rubiginosa (Sweet-briar). There are records listed under the species name and under the agg. taxon name (plus a few under the mysterious name Rosa rubiginosa MOHagg) - https://database.bsbi.org/search.php#re ... 2572c44366. The agg taxon only includes the s.s. taxon - https://database.bsbi.org/object.php?en ... onInstance.

Again, mapping is misleading if only the s.s. taxon is mapped - https://database.bsbi.org/maps/?series= ... FsAIxMNOSA.

The agg. map gives the correct distribution. I wonder if all records of the agg. taxon should be assigned automatically to the s.s. taxon?

Might there be a way to detect other similar anomalies, ie where there is a species name in the DDb and and also an agg. / s.l. name, where the only taxon included is the s.s. name?

Andy.
