List of most frequent species

Is it possible to generate a list of the most frequent (say top 10%, 25% etc) species in an area (VC, tetrad, grid saquare, etc) since a given date

Hi Peter,

this is quite well covered in the 'user manual' - see link at top right. Basically you will need to add 2 or 3 additional options to the query via 'more options'. Add 'group by', 'distinct' and 'frequency'. For example this query - http://bsbidb.org.uk/search.php#query=5 ... c00130c4ec - lists all taxa in vc94, recorded since 1987, that have been recorded in more than 100 monads, with the number of monads listed.

You can sort the monad frequency column, but it will be easier to manipulate the results in Excel or any other spreadsheet.

Andy.

Thanks Andy. I will look into it. I did try the help, but could not find anything directly relevant.
